National Women Physician’s Day
The day was commemorated on the 8th of December with a breakfast meeting by MWAG members at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology conference room, Tamale Teaching Hospital. The day was colourful with most members donning the MWAG cloth or colours. Motivational messages were played or read from the MWAG president and other female physicians from far and wide including Dr Mabel Aboah and Prof Afua Hesse. Ladies were very excited hearing from senior colleagues and were all very appreciative of the words of wisdom shared.
Thirty-two lady doctors were in attendance. Members in attendance also gave each other words of solidarity and encouragement, at the same time enjoying a scrumptious breakfast prepared by colleagues.
