1. On Jan 10, 2023, the Korean Medical Women’s Association (KMWA) held its 1st Monthly Symposium and New Year Party at the Koreana Hotel. President Hyon-Wook Baik delivered her New Year’s Address to the members, stating, “Our association will actively respond to the social change of the new contact-free era that has emerged due to the COVID-19 pandemic.” President Baik said, “We will seek out and provide much-needed professional medical services to the underprivileged excluded from the current Korean medical system.” The Monthly Symposium lecture was given by Professor Hyuk Yoon of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital’s Gastroenterology Department. It was entitled ‘The Diagnosis and Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.’ Professor Hye Ran Yang of the Pediatric Department of the same university spoke on ‘Overview of the Management of Pediatric Crohn’s Disease’. 
  2. On Feb 5, 2023, the Korean Medical Women’s Association (KMWA) held a leadership workshop for the 31st executive committee members at Seoul National University Hospital Biomedical Research Institute Suh Sungwhan Research Hall. The workshop’s main lecture was ‘Championing Diversity and Inclusion’ by President Myongsook S. Oh of the Korea Federation Women’s Science & Technology Associations (KOFWST). The 31st executive committee members then went into group discussions on diversity and inclusion in our society. After a successful workshop, the executive committee had a delicious lunch at the famous Italian restaurant, DI MATTEO, followed by recreation time with quiz games. The day ended with watching a play, ‘Only You’ at a nearby theater, JTN Art Hall.
