Members of AFMW from around Australia celebrated IWD. We hosted an online Circle of Kindness event led by new Executive member Dr Ruby Curtis from ACT, A/Prof Simonis was kept busy as a guest speaker at national events and presented to University students on career development in women.
Some members attended the National Women’s Health Summit in Canberra and Dr Simonis was interviewed on national TV for the Endometriosis awareness campaign, ‘it’s about bloody time’. See video here: https://vimeo.com/919925018.
On the 30th March AFMW participated in the WPR MWIA regional meeting and on the 24th April, President Dr Sarah Coll will host and interview Professor Manjula O’Connor – a leading family violence researcher, psychiatrist, advocate for highlighting coercive control and author of Brides of Durga.
