The Cultural Heritage Love Society of the Korean Medical Women’s Association donated rice and volunteered for free meals to Wongaksa. (Fig. 1)

On September 20, 2021, the Cultural Heritage Love Society of Korean Medical Women’s Association (KMWA) visited Wongaksa Temple in Jongno-gu, Seoul and participated in rice donation and free meal service activities.

The 16th National Congress of Korea Medical Women’s Regional Representatives and Academic Symposium hosted by the Korean Medical Women’s Association (KMWA) were held on October 30th at the Koreana Hotel.

At the opening ceremony, Suk-Wan Yoon, President of the KMWA said, “The proportion of female doctors among all doctors is 26.5%, but the proportion in the leader of medical field is still low. She encouraged participation by saying, “Knock on the door by the local doctor’s office or university and directly participate.”

About 40 members representing female doctors from all over the country and heads of major medical organizations attended to congratulate the event. Park Jeong-yul, vice president of the Korean Medical Association, attended on behalf of Chairman Lee Pil-su and praised, “Many female doctors have advanced into various fields and are playing a leadership role in our society.” In addition to Vice Chairman Park Jeong-yul, Lee Yoon-soo, Vice Chairman of the Korean Medical Association, and Park Myung-ha, President of the Seoul Medical Association, attended and delivered congratulatory speeches.

Next, under the theme of ‘Leadership of Female Doctors in Medical Education Field’, four female deans, including Seol Ji-young, Dean of Chungnam Medical University, Son In-suk, Dean of Konkuk University Graduate School, Eun-hee Ha, Dean of Ewha Medical University and Jeong Soon-hee, Dean of Wonju University of Yonsei University appeared on the role of female doctors in the educational field.
