News of members/ membership activities:
Hong Kong’s economy is hard hit by the Covid pandemic, unemployment and poverty are rising in our society. While we stay at home, we can still help the poor by cooking and asking for sponsorship from family members, friends and colleagues. The Hong Kong Women Doctors Association Charitable Foundation organizes a Charity Virtual Cooking Competition. All funds raised through this event will be used for food donation to the poor and for supporting the Hong Kong Women Doctors Association’s Community Projects. Hong Kong Women Doctors Association jointly with the Association of Private Medical Specialists of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Dental Association, the Hong Kong Doctors Union and the Medical Conscience to conduct a survey for the healthcare professionals about their intention to assist in the Hong Kong wide vaccination program. The Hong Kong COVID-19 Vaccination Programme officially launched on 26 February 2021.

Adoption of integrated behavioural model with technology as an enabler of community mobilisation and support for promoting cervical screening behavior

National association MWIA activities:
The MWIA Western Pacific Regional Conference 2021 will be held in Seoul, Korea from 20 to 21 August 2021. Dr Winnie MOK, geriatrician, Honorary Councillor of Hong Kong Women Doctors Association will share her knowledge and experience on the topic ‘Sarcopenia in the Elderly’ at the conference.
