Nigeria
The activities of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN) included hosting the first National Executive Meeting (NEC), marking the 2021 International Day on Gender Based Violence (Orange the World) and the 2022 International Cancer Day (Fig. 1). MWAN also participated in an advocacy seminar on International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation and celebrated International Women’s Day by organizing a walk, holding a press conference and hosting a Symposium on ‘Challenges and Opportunities Facing Women in Leadership in Nigeria’ (Fig.2).
