The Installation Ceremony of AMWI National President and Office Bearers was held on 15th December 2022, at Westend Hotel, Mumbai. Dr Mandakini Megh was installed as AMWI President in the gracious presence of our chief guest, Mrs Seema Vyas, IAS, Principal Secretary GAD, Mantralaya, and Guest of Honour, Mrs Vandana Krishna, IAS, Dr Usha Saraiya madam, Immediate Past President Dr Yamini Alsi, Dr Bhaktawar Vazifdar, President, Mumbai branch , Immediate Past Secretary Dr Nalini Kurvey, Dr Suvarna, Dr Sarita Bhalerao.

She stated that her vision is to make more chapters, constitute Committees as MWIA has done, form a Youth wing of AMWI, and to make this prestigious organisation of 115 years legacy more visible and bring it into the forefront of medicine.
2nd March: 1st Managing Council Members meeting was held. Report of MWIA international, Committee given by Dr Usha Saraiya.
9th March: International Women’s Day was celebrated, in association with MOGS at Mumbai.
Mumbai Branch
13th January: The Cytology Clinic (AMWI) at the Cama and Albless Hospital, Mumbai in association with the Department of Preventive Oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai conducted a day of CME in Rustom Choksi Auditorium, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel. The theme was: “Elimination of Cervical Cancer in India”. The CME was well-attended.
25th February: a Grand Programme of Dr Shirin Mehtaji’s and Dr Vandana Walvekar’s Competition for postgraduate students was held at Jaslok Hospital. 33 papers from various Hospitals were presented. Total attendance was 65.
Kolkata Branch
25th January: A health check-up camp was held with Jyotirmai Seva Kendra School, Ballygunge,Kolkata. 42 mothers of school children attended.
25th February: the 12th Dr. Tulsi Basu Memorial Oration was held. The Orator was Dr. Krishna Poddar.
30th March: the inauguration of the renovated cytology clinic at Cama & Albless hospital was held. AMWI has been running this cytology & preventive oncology clinic for 52 years. It serves a huge number of woman patients all over Mumbai. It also trains doctors and nurses.
The last three months have been very eventful. We made great progress.
