During the period from May 2004 to October 2004 the Georgian Medical Women’s Association (GMWA) performed the following activities:
In May GMWA members had a very interesting meeting dedicated to the topic “Personality in the changed world”. The lecturer was the President of the Georgian Society of Psychiatrists Professor Nino Okribelashvili. The lecture was well attended by GMWA members followed by discussion.
On June 7-8 GMWA organized a festive Exhibition of Artistic Medical Doctors at the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition featured interesting works, including paintings, graphics, sculpture and embroidery. The exhibition had great success among numerous visitors and media representatives. The GMWA published a special catalogue for the Exhibition.
On October 10 the GMWA members convened an online meeting. The meeting topic was to nominate the GMWA representative(s) for the MWIA Executive positions for the 2025-2028 Triennium. President of GMWA, Prof. Nino Zhvania, submitted the decision supported by all attending members of the Association to MWIA Executive.
On October 11-12, GMWA organized a Scientific Practical Conference in Batumi, Adjara Region of Georgia dedicated to topics of management of internal diseases. Renowned Georgian doctors delivered speeches at the event and physicians who attended the Conference received credit scores in the frame of Continuing Medical Education (CME).
