1) The 70th Annual General Meeting of JMWA

The 70th Annual General Meeting was held on 18 May 2025 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. After the general meeting, a public lecture titled “False accusations and the death penalty” was given by journalist Satoru Kamata. In Japan, there have been five cases since the end of the war in which people were found not guilty after receiving death sentences, and one of them took 58 years to be acquitted in October last year. In the afternoon, we had a luncheon and social gathering. We could see the whole of Yokohama Port from the venue, and we all had a great time.
