Our plans for the future include:

1. TO STRENGTHEN THE ASSOCIATION’S REGULATORY FRAMEWORK

  • The association has been able to acquire an office and some furniture for its monthly meetings. However, the furniture and computer equipment are insufficient to achieve its objectives.
  • During the first quarter of 2026, we held 3 monthly meetings to discuss our challenges and prospects for 2026-2027. The average number of members attending meetings varies from 15 to 20 per meeting

2. TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE WELL-BEING OF THE POPULATION

  • On March 5, 2026, we organized a menstrual hygiene awareness day at the Koumassi Municipal College (Abidjan): 200 students from 6th grade to 12th grade were educated and trained
  • On March 21, 2026, we organized a breast and cervical cancer awareness and screening day in the village of Agban (Abidjan). 140 women were educated; 137 were screened and tested negative for HPV. 3 virgins and 0 suspected cases of breast and cervical cancer were found.
  • During the first quarter of 2026, we followed up with two young women. One was paralyzed in her lower limbs three months after giving birth, and the other was a victim of gender-based violence. Thanks to our assistance, the two young women received healthcare because they lacked the financial means.

3. TO PROMOTE THE ASSOCIATION

  • This year, we met with the Member of Parliament for Koumassi (Abidjan) and the Deputy Mayor of Attécoubé (Abidjan), who provided us with financial support and assistance in mobilizing the population during awareness and screening activities.
  • During our outreach campaigns and communications, we recruited 13 female doctors in the first quarter and established a branch of the association in northern Ivory Coast, with a neurologist as its focal point.
  • But the challenge remains enormous due to a lack of funding for volunteers to travel to other regions of the country to recruit new members and establish new branches.
  • Insufficient funding for the creation of our website and the acquisition of communication materials.
