Annual conference of Women in Medicine in Ireland Network
- Held in Galway on March 20th to 22nd 2026
- Attended by 120 Irish delegates and MWIA members from Canada (Dr Shelley Ross and Dr Gail Beck) and UK (Dr Clarissa Fabre and Dr Julie Rutter)
- Dr Shelley Ross invited all Canadian women studying and working in Ireland to join the Canadian organisation and reminded everyone present that they are all members of MWIA
- Our Keynote speaker was Prof Geraldine McGinty, Weill Cornell University
- The Annual Dr Sarah Fitzgibbon Lecture was delivered by Dr Marion Broderick, Aran Islands
- Topics covered included gender pay gap, maternity and pregnancy entitlements, ongoing research into Motherhood and Medicine, and Medical Humanities.
