In the first quarter of 2026, AIDM (Association of Italian Medical Women) focused on the analysis of data and drafting a scientific paper on VIPROM (Victim Protection in Medicine) training carried out in Italy. The paper is currently under review by the BMJ Public Health journal. A case report on the psychotherapeutic treatment of PTSD in a patient with SCAD (spontaneous coronary artery dissection) has been submitted to the call for topics Frontiers in Psychology – Clinical and Health Psychology Section, also under peer review.
Another important paper is ready for publication in the journal of cardiovascular development and disease, on Pericoronary Adipose Tissue Attenuation in Patients with Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection According to Emotional versus Physical Triggers: an analysis from the IN-SIGHT-SCAD Study.
Clinical activity of the psycho-cardiologic service in the Cardiology Unit of Parma University hospital is continuing.
Finally, the anonymous ILO survey on violence in the workplace, with 1,445 responses, has been analysed. The initial results will be presented at the 12th edition of the Medicine of Differences conference on March 12, which is the day when ending violence against health personnel will be also celebrated. This event has been organised by the Parma University Hospital and sponsored by AIDM, the University of Parma, the Municipality and Province of Parma, and numerous women’s associations.
The activities of the NAM-CUG (Nucleo di Ascolto e Mediazione del Comitato Unico di Garanzia: listening and mediation unit of the single guarantee committee for equal opportunities) at the Parma University Hospital have been consolidated, collecting data and analysing system responses.
The procedure for organisational well-being and follow-up of coronary dissections has been fully implemented
AIDM also participated in the A Target conference, which addressed cardiovascular prevention issues, including from a gender perspective. An important congress organized by the regional staff of AIDM, with Emilia Romagna speaking about women’s health and war, will take place in Piacenza on Saturday 21 March.
