A warm welcome to the Sweden's Medical Women’s Association's 110th Anniversary!

This year marks 110 years since Karolina Widerström founded the association, and on 21st November we want to celebrate this with an unforgettable evening! We will enjoy the evening in the historical and atmospheric banquet hall of Grillska huset, located by Stortorget in the heart of Gamla stan (the Old Town) in Stockholm. Here we will gather to listen to two highly topical and inspiring lectures, followed by a shared, festive dinner.

During the evening, we will be joined by two fantastic speakers (however, as the detailed planning for the jubilee is still ongoing, the evening may be complemented with additional pleasant features!):

  • Arwa Josefsson (Swe) is a specialist in general practice and psychiatry, as well as a licensed psychotherapist. In her lecture 'From Stress Management to Righteous Rage', she offers us a new perspective on stress and what actually empowers us when the pressure mounts.
  • Charlotte Blease (Eng) is an Associate Professor (Docent) in participatory eHealth and health data at Uppsala University and a researcher in digital psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. With a background in both philosophy and health informatics, her research focuses on medical ethics. During the evening, she will lecture on introducing AI, what it can do for mental healthcare, and what the future of treatment might look like. Her book "Dr Bot" will also be available for purchase.

Date: 21st of November, 2026.

Location and time:

  • 16:30: Gathering and mingling in the banquet hall of Grillska huset, Stortorget 3, Old town, 111 29 Stockholm.
  • 17:00 - late: Dinner and lectures (including time for Q&A and discussion).

Dress code: A touch of 1916 (a brooch, a belt, a hat, or a nice necklace? Get creative!)

The event is primarily open to KLF's or MWIA members. Other interested parties are warmly welcome subject to availability. Limited number of seats; first come, first served. The registration is binding and closes on November 1st.

Registration fee: 150 SEK for KLF or MWIA members, 795 SEK for non-members (dinner included in the price).
